It's pyramid time...
10 pullups
1 pushup
9 pullups
2 pushups
8 pullups
3 pushups
until...
1 pullup
10 pushups
To mix it up, if you've got some great kipping pullups and you want to make this a little more challenging try doing L pullups or strict pullups!
Who's up for the fire academy workout?! September 12 from 8 am to noon we're heading to the Rio Hondo Fire Academy to try out the fire academy test- talk about functional fitness! It's free with a suggested donation. Go to www.riohondofire.com/biddle.html to see the (scary) workout!

Tustonians-
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to needle Stefan into bringing the rower down. He said he would bring it yesterday... but I saw that it was still at Cherry last night!
Also- everyone- if you don't regularly check the main crossfit blog (www.crossfit.com) look at today's video on the Crossfit community. It's very heartwarming (seriously) :)

Note to self: suvived pullups this morning; concentrated on using Rippetoe technique -- push hands up, on and over bar before starting pullups, instead of pulling down (which encourages skin folds to gather and potentially rip) -- here's the ripping phenomenon explained: the Quicktime version, and the Windows Media version (it's large and takes a few seconds to download); NO HAND RIPS!

However, I recall having read once (translation: couldn't find a source directly on point today) that hands and feet generally are a little swollen upon waking up. If so, that's going to add to the "folding skin pinch" problem. Maybe a Solution: cool the hands down in the morning before doing pull ups to reduce swelling? A cold bottle of water might come in "handy."

Did this one at work. Couldn't make it out to the gym. Taking Kayla out for her bday. I did it with kipping pull ups.

Time was 3:48.
