"Tabata Something Else"
Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.
I LOVE TABATA! It hurts so good! In fact, I think I will make it my return to Crossfit after the 10 1/2 months (essentially) off, between pregnancy and recovery. I am actually jealous of you all today!
Gets me thinkin... how do you guys deal with it when you've either been pussing out for an extended period of time, or injured, or on vacation-- and you're getting back to Crossfit. Is it exciting? Scary? Intimidating? Depressing? What do you tell yourselves to get you jazzed up and back in the box?

Jenn, I hate to see no participation on your questions!

In many things I feel are difficult, whether it is getting to a workout or back to a workout routine, sometimes there is only one answer, action. Do it and the feelings will follow. How many times have any of you NOT felt like working out after a long day, but you some how manage to show up? Now how many times does it make you feel better? A HUGE amount if you're anything like me (which you are; I'm sorry to break the news). So if I'm not intrinsically or extrinsically motivated to do something, I use discipline and the knowledge that it will be all right to make myself go. I then find something to motivate me. Recently Julie showed me inverted burpees, and I want to get better at those. I'm not sure why, they just seem cool. So now I have some intrinsic motivation going on. Again, how many times by just showing up does something good happen? I will learn something new, help someone else out, or just have a laugh with my workout friends. It's all good!

As I still have 10 minutes to post it seems apropos to say that when coming back to box to get my lift on, people are my main motivator.

I know that regardless of how I've been lifting or not, or what WOD is on the board; I've got a killer crew to cheer on and find support in.

Or perhaps its the lure of that elusive muscle-up!
