WOD November 18, 2008

Push Jerk
1-1-1-1-1-1-1
Jason "Mr. Olympia" Alexander has a great way to think about this-- other than making the last round lighter than the 6th (so your form can be bang-on), think of each rep individually. Focus on one, lift as much as you can, *rest,* then move to the next rep. In response to the question, "Is this all there is today?" here is what they say on crossfit.com: "Yes, that really is the WOD. It's a Max Effort strength WOD rather than a Metabolic Conditioning WOD. It won't leave you as "gassed" as Helen or Cindy will, but it will tax your muscles and nervous system heavily."
96 pushups! Tell the truth- you'll miss them when they're gone.

Ooo! Dr. Jenn!

We HAVE to get one of those flying pull ups apparatuses. Check out the Flying Fran and FFWD to 1:06 to see the flying pullups. Too cool!

John, I think those workouts are reserved for vigilante crimefighters-in-training. And you're goddamn right, I want in!

Congrats to team "Jason A", we took 4th place in the Coed team division at the Mud Run. If I could have carried my own weight we would of had a podium finish, next year.

Team Ball came in FIRST when it comes to teamwork and integrity: we got separated and one of our team went back to find the others (because we leave no man behind), while the others thought the one had gone ahead! Added at least 7 minutes to our time -- but that's 7 minutes of HEART!

96 in the bag. Think I'll do this WOD on make-out day.
