Want to get healthy? Exercise 7 minutes a week. This article is more about the health benefits to persons with type 2 diabetes, but it is a testament to the fact that even our shorter, intense WODs are miracle workers.

Inset: a young Barbara Stanwick.

Hey guys!
I found a really great VIDEO on squat technique. It goes through the basics of every single piece of the squat - and it takes you through a list of do's and don'ts, which are especially important when you add weight to your squat.

I know everyone has been through this technique w/ our rockstar instructors... but it's always nice to get a refresher when those boys aren't around, eh?

I met the guy in this video during a conference for fitness professionals last September. Sat next to him on the shuttle bus, actually. He's absolutely huge! And he knows his shit. But he's got this crazy accent... a combination of growing up in Britain, going to school in Iowa, and now living in Kentucky. Interesting.

Awesome video. He sounds almost like he's from Boston especially the way he says "bah". I noticed the Converse as weight lifting shoes too.

I was thinking about Barbara all damned day long. It was the pullups I was worried about, and I was determined not to let them kick my a$$. Between the instruction given by Steven, Mike V., and Kim, I got some valuable correction on the kipping technique. If you get a chance, ask them to show you the kip: it is very informative and effective. Heck, I was able to do Barbara, completing the 20 pullup sections without breaks for the 1st 4 of the rounds - that's also when one palm started to shred (at least it wasn't both of them).

BTW: that was a very instructive video Kim. Thanks!
