Happy New Year!

Happy New Year guys! According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the general rule of thumb for what to do on New Year’s day is to do only what you would like to do the entire year. Don’t quarrel, don’t lose money, don’t overeat, and so on. Instead laugh, do something rewarding, spend quality time with the important people in your life. I had an ingenious idea last night while watching the annual fun run in Central Park... why not an 11 pm shredder next New Year's? Complete with exercise, alcohol, and good friends! And, heat. This year it would have been freezing!
Hmm. Plenty of time to plan. Here are a couple of quotes for you-- and remember, regular schedule resumes at Crossfit tomorrow!
"Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man." ~Benjamin Franklin
"We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential." ~Ellen Goodman
I definitely don't think these guys Crossfit. And I don't think this should be our outfit for the New Year's WOD next year. This pic is a shot of the annual New Year's Red Underwear Race from Valencia, Spain.
