"Angie"
For Time:
100 pullups
100 pushups
100 situps
100 squats
Here's the rub: You must complete all reps for an exercise before moving on to the next one (eg. 100 pullups must be completed before 100 pushups).
Check out the blog later today as I'll be posting information on Crossfit360's program to get us prepped for the Crossfit Games 2009 Southern California Qualifier on April 18 & 19.
Yum!

So, in my ongoing quest to find more time (I swear that a day is 26 hours, not 24!), I did Angie at Frog's gym at lunchtime today. I'm way too exhausted at the end of a 9 hour workday, and there's no way I'm getting up any earlier (working out before work would involve getting up at like 430). So, I'm doing the warm up, right? And of course, they don't have good pullup bars, they've only got the assisted pullup machine thingie- you know, where you rest your knees on the pad and it can assist you by carrying the amount of weight you select. So I go over there to do my 5 pullups, 5 dips. On the ridiculous globo-gym, totally non-functional, adductor machine, which is next to the pullup machine, there is a man being trained by a personal trainer, who is sitting down and counting reps for him (he was only about 60, I'm sure he hadn't learned to count to 15 yet). So I set up the machine for dips and take off all of the weight (so I'm doing my body weight unassisted), do my 5, hop off, and then start to walk away to do my squats. I hear this snooty little voice call after me, "Was that a little too much for you?" I thought I had hallucinated. I turned and looked at her, "Really? Are you actually mocking me?" (Hey- I know I'm Mrs. Nice Guy, but I was listening to Rage Against the Machine). She got beet red and stuttered something like "just joking." So I took the opportunity to briefly educate her about Crossfit. She seemed intrigued. Another NASM trainer bites the dust... ;)

This workout was super fun! I especially like what it did for my hands. Who needs soft, unscarred hands anyway. This has also lead to my New Year's resolution: I vow to never again do a pullup without gloves. Amen.

Whine, whine Deanna!
Rinse the rips out with water, dry them, and then superglue them. Seriously- you'll be able to wash your hair, etc., without writhing in pain.
And the glue will wear off in a few days...

I believe that qualifies as the shortest post, so gotcha Doctor!

Oh, and Deeanna: don't superglue them together.

Now you tell me Moose! Do you know how hard it is to type with your hands glued together?
