May 26, 2009

I hope everybody had a great few days off... 'cause now, it's back to the suck!
"Grace"
30 Clean and Jerks for time.
5050: 42-42-42
If you would like to do the Grace Challenge, you must register before your wod. Remember, to do the challenge you don't need to do the rx'd weight.
Also- reminder = if you'd like to come to Crossfit HB for a barbeque, team WOD, and to cheer on the top 6 Socal Girls, send me an email (jennifer@crossfit360.com) or sign up at one of the schools. Tustin, you better represent! I need to give the head count by Wednesday... so don't delay in getting back to me.
Cherry will be closed on Saturday (we'll all be at HB), so if you want to workout you'll have to come on the fieldtrip! Here's a pic of our last field trip- to Crossfit Las Vegas.

AWESOME! That's how all of the Memorial Day CF360 troops were. Not only did we knock out 300 pullups, 400 pushups, 500 situps and 600 squats, we represented. Hard! 24:20 for the crew, and we were by no means slouching by comparison. We were 4th out of 8 teams after 4 heats and remained 6th after about 8 heats (don't know the final results, as we skee-daddled before the end). There were about 20 teams, and we were the only ones who brought chalk! I think we got gold stars just for sharing.

It was uplifting, warming, and rewarding to bang out a group WOD with some really great folks, firefighters, and friends: our own Peter was there pulling medic duty, but his squad got pulled into the fun too! Bob "my timer at the qualifier" was there (a firefighter from OC Truck 59, and a really great guy), and we also rooted for Julie's (and our) friends at CF Marina.

The best part, of course, is knowing that CF360 contributed to a really great cause: our troops overseas. With donations and tee shirts, we managed to give an additional $70 over the entrance fee, gladly. Thanks Andy, Dr. Jenn and Alan, Julie, Jay and Deeanna for being some kicka** people.

NOW LET'S GO GET OUR GRACE ON!

Thanks, Moose! And since we're on the topics of passing things, I'd like to congratulate Dr. Jenn for passing her licensing exam-yep, 360's full of smarties ;)

And I'd like to add that it's not a good idea to take a lot of time off CrossFit and do something like the Memorial Challenge we did yesterday-I can hardly move, haha!!!

Guys, I'm so sorry I couldn't be there, but I am very glad you had such a great time and did such a good job- I would expect nothing less! And OF COURSE you remembered to bring chalk- we're professionals, dudes :)

thanks for the report, moose! Glad it all went well. And congrats again to Mrs. Carbonara, Esq.

While I couldn't join you at CF Marina, I had some fun of my own yesterday by doing a practice PAST (Physical Ability Stamina Test) for upcoming Pararescue tryouts. Also caught up on 39, 40, 41.

Ok I need to call in a bilingual favor!

Anyone speak spanish? I need to call a "taco guy" for the event on Saturday and apparently he only speaks Spanish...which I don't!

Please drop me a line if you'd be willing to call for me: julie@crossfit360.com

I'll gladly return the favor if you ever need a Vietnamese translator. ;)

42s. Check.

Julie, I have the number for a taco cart I used a while back. They also did my friend's birthday party. Reliable and were pretty easy to communicate with. Let me know if you want their number.

Great time tonight. Big group too. I want to echo Carmen's words of thanx to everyone for the cheering on. It really does help push you. That's what is so fun about CF360.

We still doin quotes? Well here's a favorite.
