"Tabata Something Else"
Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are Abmat sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.
Your score is total reps from all 32 intervals. Hey hey- it's a whiteboard day- so work your hardest!
If you've never done Tabata before, you're either going to LOVE it or completely hate it. I really love Tabata-- there are a few WODs I really miss doing now that I am preggers, and Tabata is definitely one of them (the deadlift/burpee wod is definitely not). Push yourself as hard and as far as you can during each 20 second burst-- you've got 10 luxurious seconds to recover. Don't let the form disappear on pushups or squats in particular (where it can really be tempting to just fold at the waist and bring your chest to your thighs- unless you're pregnant, at which point it's impossible to do that). I've been bugging the instructors more and more to yell "non-count!" when they see you doing a rep with really crappy form- so expect some of that tomorrow... heh heh. Wanna be a badass?- during the squats, rest in the down position instead of standing up, like they do in this video. And check out Annie's incredible squats- that's the pace you should be going for!
Looking forward to seeing you all at Crossfit HB on Saturday-- remember, if you're not with us, you're out of luck this Saturday as Cherry is closed.

WOD at home today, following a swim workout... bit confused by Julie's scores above, but as I understand it:

PULL(deadhang):6/5/3/3/2/3/2/2=26
PUSH:22/13/7/5/4/4/4/3=62
SIT(reg. style):12/11/11/10/9/10/9/9=80
SQUAT:19/18/19/17/16/15/15/16=135
TOTAL = 303
(bonus round...
FLUTTERKICKS(4-count):
14/11/13/11/11/11/12/12=95)

Pukey was knockin', but I wasn't answerin'

+ 44's, 43's (still need to make up 42's)

Went to Tustin just to visit, because I was in the area (love what you've done to the place Stephan and Erik!) Danged TCF360 crew made it look so easy I had to do it again -- so the 2d workout makes 44+ per the Andy Rule!

Cherry scale - 39 (yay: better than morn!)
Tustin/Superstar scale - 384

And that's Tabata all I gotta say (except great work Tustin!!!! You guys rocked ... hard!).

Mustafa, the official CF360 groupie... =)

how does the Cherry scale work? total of least reps for each exercise?

Well... sorry guys. My mistake. I thought that the total reps meant the TOTAL number of reps the person did. I know that's not what a Tabata is... my bad.

That being said, numbers sh-mumbers, our Tustonians rocked it, especially since Monica, Garth, RJ, Amit, and Mitesh all took my bag class as a CF warm up. Awesome guys.

Amit - 236
Monica - 280
Paul D. - 242
Steven - 228
Mitesh - 212
RJ - 196
Garth - 383
Sir - 292
Moose (yes, he did it again) - 384

And a special congratulations to Amit, who met Pukie for the first time today. Rock it out guys!

Didn't know how to score it but it was tough + 44's per Andy rule.
