WOD September 9, 2008
Run 400 m four times for time; rest 2 minutes between each round.
I think at this point, Luis should not be permitted to do the running workouts; it's too depressing for the rest of us.
+26 pushups today, pushup club! How are those arms & chest feeling? Golden, I bet! Me too! :)
Although we aren't doing a Heroes workout today, this workout is in honor of Specialist Roberto L. Martinez Salazar.
Hometown: Long Beach, California, U.S.
Age: 21 years old
Died: February 4, 2006 in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Unit: Army, Company A, 14th Engineer Battalion, 555th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Fort Lewis, Wash.
Incident: Died when a makeshift bomb exploded near his up-armored Humvee during patrol operations in Mosul.

Martinez was a great Soldier. He was not even a US citizen, but fought hard and never complained. Thank you for honoring him.
Regan, anytime. We are all grateful for his service, and the service of all of those in the US military. Thanks for the post.

26 done and done
Run Forrest RUN!!! It was quite an inspiration to run with our own MARISSA and FOUR OF THE USA'S SILVER MEDALIST WOMEN'S WATER POLO TEAM this morning at 11! It's thrilling to have outstanding athletes grace our humble but dedicated facilities. I guess it's in keeping with out heroes theme for the week. Thanks for the encouragement Natalie!
26 push ups done!
(Hmmm ... my word verification said "you're MY hero". Awww, shucks. Thanks!)
26 cranked out, arms screaming at me the entire time. Ignored 'em. They can't be trusted.
- Jim
26 are done
I agree, Jim. You should only listen to your arms when they are telling you "we're going to pick up that piece of chocolate cake and feed it to you."
26 done
26 done :-)
26 pushups, one bucket of sweat, and one dozen tears shed during thai boxing tonight.

I just wanted to thank Regan for stopping in and posting on our blog about Martinez.
I am sure he served with honor and I am glad we can make a small thing that will let people know about this soldier that paid the ultimate price.
