WOD October 3, 2008


So I seriously considered having us do Crossfit Century tomorrow (1 pullup and 1 ounce of beer every minute for 100 minutes), but I...don't think that's such a good idea seeing as how are class times are 9 and 11 am. Instead...
"Twenty is Plenty"
20 box jumps
20 pull-ups
20 kettlebell swings
20 lunge steps
20 knees to elbows
20 push press
20 back extensions
20 wall balls
20 burpees
20 double unders
+50 pushups! Hey, it's a landmark day kids. Halfway done!!!
Is it just me, or does Jason look as if he's going to burst into tears?

Remember when you were a kid at Disneyland and the park was about to close and you couldn't hold back your tears because you thought you were never going to see Mickey again?
Well, I had those same emotions brewing as the FGB was coming to a close...

I wanted to cry when FGB was over too . . . tears of joy! I've never been so happy to hear the word "time" in my life. Jason, you are impresive in a twisted, freakish, inhuman kind of a way.

Jason A, AKA the son of Jor-El, does not cry normal, people tears. He is superhuman and cries 100% testosterone. The only thing missing from this man is a frigging cape people.

Rumor has it that Jason A and Chuck Norris recently had an arm wrestling match. Chuck Norris now has only one arm......but then again Chuck Norris didn't need that second arm anyway.

50 pushups -- all the down, all the way up.

Couldn't make it CXFit this morn, so I did the following plenty twenty at home (after regulation warm-up):

20 box jumps (no old tractor tires, so used an old amplifier box. 18")
20 pull-ups
20 kettlebell swings (no kettlebell, so I used a 20 lb. anvil)
20 lunge steps
20 knees to elbows
20 push press (no weights, did decline pushups with that 18" box)
20 back extensions (supermans)
20 wall balls (no med ball, filled up a gym bag with shoes and towels til approximate weight)
20 burpees
20 double unders (no jump rope, so I just jumped over oncoming cars on the freeway; just kidding, used the jump rope)

Time: 12:42.

Sometimes you just have to MacGuyver it.

Well...only halfway in days not in number of pushups, oh well. Nothing to do but keep on truckin!
