WOD October 30, 2008


"Death by Wallball"
With a continuously running clock, do 1 wallball the first minute, two wallballs the second minute, three wallballs the third minute, and so on, continuing for as long as you are able. This is gonna be a good one!!!
Side note = "Death by..." is a good way to practice whatever skill you are working on during skill days- because it makes it a little more interesting than just saying, "I'm gonna do 50 ring dips today." You can have death by pretty much anything, though I wouldn't recommend "Death by Burpee," because it might actually kill you. Not sure. Maybe we'll have to try it out and see. Gotta buy a few more buckets first.

Well, the 5:30 am'ers are as innovative as we are crazy for getting up at 5 to work out. Although we were locked out this morning, Larry created the WOD we later named Victorious - 400m run, 20 walking lunges, 20 burpees, 3 rds for time. Although we did keep track of times it was a little too dark and foggy to write them down. But nice job Victoria and Ricky (aka the Superkids), John, and Larry for rallying the troops.
Guess we'll have to suffer death by wallball some other time...I'm upset. Really, I am.

You poor, dedicated 530 am people! Steve's car broke down this morning (but fortunately he was able to get the problem addressed in time for the 9 am class). That's a pretty vicious workout you designed, Larry. I don't even know if I would come up with something like that... :)
We are, of course, very sorry that you were stuck outside, but seeing as how I sleep like the dead, Steve was unable to get in touch with me. I promise we'll come up with something to make it up to you. But again, so glad to see the Crossfit spirit prevailed and you engaged in Urban Crossfit! :)
